| This topic is to discuss the second half of the Discipline era (if you can call it that). | |

| I'm still disappointed how Feedback did. I expected it to do good in Europe at least, if not in the US. Hopefully she'll release 2nite at some point. It's such a fun song. | |

| It still hasn't gotten old for me.
Unfortunately I don't have high hopes for Can't B Good, even though I do like the song.

| I hope Janet keeps in the media anyway, if not for the sales, but to promote her upcoming tour which is all but confirmed? | |

| It's such a disappointment Feedback and Discipline flopped. I really hope at least the tour helps and she has a decent hit from the album. | |

| She needs to change it up a bit...not keep the "All For You-Don't Stop-I Want Feedback-(Cause I Feel Young and Free)" thing going indefinitely, otherwise every era sounds like the previous and her hard work's not appreciated.
I mean Mimi for instance keeps the same formula album from album pretty much (kinda), but she has a way of packaging it that makes you think what she's doing is completely new.

| 20 Y.O. reeked of desperation- Discipline doesn't. It's a solid "JANET" album IMO. Except why put all of the slow songs on the second half- why not blend them better? | |

| It's definitively solid. But it's Janet being "disciplined" precisely, and sticking closely to what was expected or what she once was. When she should have been undisciplined.
Bottom line, she did not capture people's imagination enough to have a hit..and obviously her dancing's no longer enough.

| I think it's an improvement in production over Damita Jo and 20 Y.O., although I can't help but miss when Miss J would put a message behind her songs, a la Rhythm Nation. | |

| I think all of the songs should've sounded similar to feedback and LUV then she would've eventually been able to get a hit even if the last hit didn't workout. She needs stuff that is well produced and I think that aside from Feedback, LUV, and RWU everything else is under produced. | |
